Whilst recommended daily intakes are relatively universal, specific dietary needs can vary dramatically between individuals; not only energy requirements, but also the ability to metabolize and absorb specific nutrients via digestion can vary significantly based on a conglomerate of factors (more to discuss about this later!).

Nutrition, like most other things in life, can be as simple or complex as we make it.  Learning what foods work best for you at any given time requires curiosity, genuine interest in personal well-being, and being open to the idea that our needs (including the building blocks of our body – nutrients) do change over situation and time. Taking a step towards eating what works best for you personally is just one way of many to take better care of you.
